Fixing Jenkin's Git Plugin After Changing IP

I was working with Jenkins a gitlab server and decided to move the gitlab server to a new IP address. After moving the server, The git plugin for Jenkins crashed and resulted in the following error message:

javax.servlet.ServletException: org.apache.commons.jelly.JellyTagException: jar:file:/var/lib/jenkins/plugins/gitlab-plugin/WEB-INF/lib/gitlab-plugin.jar!/com/dabsquared/gitlabjenkins/GitLabPushTrigger/config.jelly:10:87: <j:invoke> method getProjectBranches threw exception: java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host

I was able to fix this by going to the Jenkins directory at /var/lib/jenkins and running a find and replace between the two IPs:

grep -rlZ 'oldip' /var/lib/jenkins/ | xargs -0 sed -i 's/oldip/newip/g'

Just replace oldip and newip with the correct values, then restart jenkins and you should be all set. I haven't tried but I suspect this works with domain names as well.
